Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Beaverclip (the "Service"), operated by Beaverclip ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Beaverclip is an AI-assisted video clipping tool. You upload a source video or paste a URL; our pipeline transcribes it, an AI model selects clip moments, and we render frame-accurate MP4s you can download.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 13 years old (16 if you live in the EU/UK) to use Beaverclip. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of every video you upload and every clip we produce from it. You grant us a limited license to process the content solely to provide the Service to you (transcribe, analyze, render, store, deliver). We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Beaverclip to:

• upload, clip, or distribute content you don't have rights to;
• process content that depicts minors in sexual contexts, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that promotes violence or illegal activity;
• circumvent quota, rate-limit, or billing controls;
• attempt to reverse-engineer the Service or interfere with other users.

If you import a URL (e.g. a YouTube link), you represent that you have the right to do so under that platform's terms and the source creator's rights. That responsibility is on you.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans renew monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months — see the Refund Policy for the limited cases in which we issue refunds.

6. Quotas

Each plan includes a monthly transcription minute allowance, a maximum source video length, a storage cap, and a concurrency limit. Quotas reset on your billing anniversary. Quota usage is enforced server-side; attempts to bypass quotas may result in suspension.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted Service. We may perform maintenance, change features, or rate-limit individual accounts to keep the platform stable. We will use reasonable efforts to notify paying users of material changes.

8. Intellectual property

The Beaverclip name, logo, software, and website design are owned by us. The clips you produce belong to you (subject to the underlying source rights). The transcripts and AI-generated metadata produced from your content are provided to you with no claim of ownership on our part.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app's account page; deletion is permanent and removes your jobs, clips, and stored source files. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. AI-selected clip moments are suggestions — we do not guarantee virality, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Transcription accuracy depends on the source audio.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 50.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
